New research: Chilling at this park will make you smarter

Just by living closer to Dude Chilling Park you are more likely to be healthier, happier, uhhhh… so that’s pretty sweet. Apparently, the health benefits of living near a park are the equivalent of a $20,000 increase in salary, in terms of affect on your health. So, my advice to you in 2016: Chill more, in the park.

There are random stats about health benefits and reducing stress by being close to or in nature. It’s important for you own health and mental well-being, especially in these stressed out times, to make a commitment to spending time in the outdoors. Especially “chilling” in the outdoors.

You’ll be happier.

Here are the top 5 tips to get you motivated (tricked) into utilizing nature more, ie: coming to the park:

  1. Walk to Kingsgate Mall and stop at the park
  2. Plan a date or social meeting in the park
  3. Visit the park (or nature), just once, then write down how you feel after-it probably feels good

There’s a lot of behavioral science in those tips.

Vancouver’s great because there are so many parks and green spaces for residents to use. However, you’ll find that Dude Chilling Park offers the most in terms of rest and relaxation.
